About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to make a real impact in a supportive school environment in Bridgeport, CT. Join our team of Paraprofessionals to help students with diverse learning needs thrive for the '26-'27 school year! Provide dedicated one-on-one support to an High School student, focusing on managing and modifying high-level behavioral needs in the classroom. Implement the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) by consistently applying de-escalation and therapeutic crisis intervention techniques to maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment. Collect and maintain accurate data on the student's behavior patterns, interventions, and progress, and communicate effectively with the special education teacher and behavior specialists.

Requirements

Associate degree or 2 years of college credit
High School diploma/equivalent and a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment

Nice To Haves

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training
Strong behavior management background and experience with middle/high school students

Responsibilities
