About The Position

Assist the Special Education instructor in creating a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social and intellectual development of students. Provide educational services to students in the special education program. This position may require one-on-one or resource room support. Other related duties as assigned. Building locations subject to change based on student support needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum AA degree or equivalent or passed PRAXIS test required.
  • Ability to make good decisions.

  • Sense of humor.
  • Ability to relate well to students, parents and staff.
  • Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.
  • Must complete an INS I-9 form and provide proof of employment eligibility.
  • Must complete a disclosure form indicating whether he or she has been convicted of crimes against persons.
  • Background check based on fingerprints will be requested from the Washington State Patrol & FBI.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • May require lifting, prolonged sitting or standing.
