Plan and provide direct and consultative music therapy services for pre-k through high school students in special education. This role involves administering and interpreting evaluations, completing reports, collaborating with guardians and the ARD Committee, and providing ongoing support to special education programming. The Music Therapist will also collaborate with classroom teachers, maintain positive professional relationships, and ensure confidentiality of student information. Services provided will be consistent with Individual Education Programs (IEPs), and the therapist will monitor student progress, recommend interventions, and foster a safe and engaging environment. Compliance with federal and state laws, as well as professional ethics, is required. The role also includes utilizing the district's Special Education management system and participating in professional development.
