About The Position

The Special Education Instructional Facilitator (SEIF) is responsible for providing instructional support and coaching to special education teachers and staff. This role focuses on improving the quality of instruction and student outcomes within special education programs. The SEIF will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support personnel to implement effective instructional strategies and interventions for students with diverse learning needs. This position requires a deep understanding of special education law, best practices, and curriculum development.

Requirements

  • Valid Nevada Professional Teacher License with an endorsement in Special Education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience in special education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional strategies for diverse learners.
  • Strong understanding of assessment and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to provide coaching and mentorship to adult learners.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Experience as an Instructional Coach or Facilitator.
  • Experience with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
  • Knowledge of specific disabilities and evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instructional support and coaching to special education teachers.
  • Facilitate professional development for special education staff on evidence-based practices.
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and provide data-driven recommendations for instructional adjustments.
  • Collaborate with school teams to ensure compliance with special education regulations.
  • Support the implementation of new initiatives and programs within special education.
  • Serve as a resource for teachers regarding curriculum, assessment, and instructional strategies.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Promote a collaborative and supportive environment for special education staff.
