About The Position
Morristown Elementary is seeking a special education instructional assistant for the 2026-27 school year. This role involves working alongside the special education teacher to meet the individual learning needs of students in grades K-5. The assistant will support students in small group settings, resource rooms, and general education classrooms, with an emphasis on English/Language Arts and math skills. Other duties may be assigned by the principal or their designee.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Must pass a background check through Shelby Eastern Schools.
- Emphasis on teamwork, a positive attitude, and a desire to build relationships with students, parents, community members, and fellow staff members.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
