About The Position

This position is for a Special Education Inclusion Resource Teacher focusing on English Language Arts and Social Studies for grades 6-8 at Dole Middle School. The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers. A Bachelor's Degree is the minimum qualification for teacher positions, with the exception of designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) positions. If hired without a completed Teacher's Education Program, candidates have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in an approved program to continue employment. Active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements must be demonstrated annually. Upon hire, a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (minimum qualification for teacher positions)
• Must have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
