About The Position

Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum. Seeking the right qualified individual who has strong teaching skills, enthusiasm, and dedication to teach in a self-contained classroom for Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: K-6 Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher of the Handicapped
• Experience with students who demonstrate emotional, and behavioral challenges, as well as some learning differences.
• Strong teaching skills, enthusiasm, and dedication.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization
• Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not Google Suite, IEP software program and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
