About The Position

This position is for a Special Education Data MAC/SHARS Specialist within the Special Education department. The role is administrative/specialist and is available for the 2026-2027 School Year. The closing date for applications is August 19, 2026, at 12 Noon. The salary range for this position is $55,063 - $66,340.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of related experience working with programs that are state and federally funded.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong public relations skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated computer and technology skills.
• Knowledge of claims and reimbursement methodologies with state and federal programs.
• Knowledge of budget management with state and federal programs.
• Copy of College/University transcript with applicable degree posted.
• Copy of driver's license.
• Current resume.
• DPS CCH Verification Form.
• DPS Consent Form.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain data for state and federally funded programs, specifically MAC (Medicaid Administrative Claiming) and SHARS (School Health and Related Services).
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to these programs.
• Process claims and manage reimbursement methodologies.
• Assist with budget management for state and federal programs.
• Utilize computer and technology skills for data management and reporting.
• Maintain strong public relations and interpersonal skills in interactions with stakeholders.
