Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all students—especially students with disabilities and diverse learning needs—receive high-quality, compliant services and supports that enable them to thrive academically and socially.
  • Partner closely with school leaders, teachers, school psychologists, school counselors, and families to build and maintain strong systems for tracking IEP services, intervention strategies, accommodations, and assessment data throughout the school year.
  • Lead the implementation of effective systems and routines that ensure accurate data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation aligned to IEP goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with School Leadership to design and deliver professional development for instructional staff and service providers focused on data tracking, compliance, and high-quality execution of the IEP process.
  • Represent the school in meetings with the Committee on Special Education (CSE), partnering with families and district teams to advocate for student needs and ensure timely, appropriate services.
  • Drive student outcomes with urgency and accountability, using data as your primary tool to identify gaps, monitor progress, and continuously improve supports and services.
  • Model strong ownership, problem-solving, and follow-through, ensuring that special education systems are executed with fidelity and that no student falls through the cracks.
