About The Position

This position is for a Special Education Assistant for the Pre-School Self Contained program at College Park Elementary. The employment period is 190 days, with exact daily hours to be determined by the supervisor. The salary range for this position is $25,765 - $40,874.

Requirements

• Copy of official transcripts verifying an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or a minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited college; Original official transcripts must be provided at new hire orientation.
• OR Copy of qualifying Praxis Paraprofessional test scores of 456 or higher.
• Negative TB test results under 1 year old.
• Applicants will be contacted by the school/location they have applied to within 3 weeks if selected for an interview.

• A delay in submitting TB test results will postpone the onboarding process.
• Paraprofessional Praxis exams are offered through Berkekely County School District and Dorchester District 2.
• There is a registration cost of $75 that must be submitted at the time the test is administered.
• Depending on the volume of applications received, all applicants may not be interviewed for this position.
• Applicants may be considered for multiple vacancies.
