About The Position
The Special Education Aide / Inclusion will help meet the physical and instructional needs of individual students with disabilities inside and outside of the classroom. This role involves assisting with the implementation of classroom programs, Individual Education Plans (IEP), including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. The aide will work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree, two years of study at an institution of higher learning, or have met formal academic assessment as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Ability to work with children with disabilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of general office equipment
