T26/27 SPECIAL ED TEACHER (Alice West Fleet)
About The Position
This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Alice West Fleet Elementary. The role involves implementing instructional programs that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, communicating with parents/guardians, and maintaining complete and accurate student records. Collaboration with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members is essential, as is monitoring and assessing student achievement. The position also requires attending ongoing professional learning and meetings.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Special Education endorsement.
- Teaching experience in special education
- Knowledge of best instructional practices
- Ability to integrate technology
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual preferred
