About The Position

This position is for a Special Education Teacher responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment, communicating with parents/guardians, and maintaining complete and accurate student records. The role involves collaboration with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members, as well as monitoring and assessing student achievement. The teacher is also expected to attend ongoing professional learning and meetings.

Requirements

• Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.
• Knowledge of best instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology.
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Special Education endorsement.

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
