About The Position

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Oakridge Elementary School. The role requires the ability to work effectively as a team member with colleagues, demonstrating flexibility, dependability, and high organization. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. The teacher will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating individual behavior management systems.

Requirements

• Experience working with children with autism.
• Knowledge of and experience with a variety of strategies for instruction for students with autism.
• Knowledge and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Experience with the Picture Exchange Communication System.
• Knowledge and experience using assistive technology.
• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Special Education endorsement.
