About The Position

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Wakefield HS for SY27. The role involves implementing instructional programs tailored to the needs, interests, and abilities of students, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, communicating with parents/guardians, and keeping accurate student records. The teacher will collaborate with school administrators, colleagues, parents, and community members, monitor student achievement, and participate in ongoing professional development and meetings.

Requirements

Teaching experience in special education
Knowledge of best instructional practices
Ability to integrate technology
Experience in educational and instructional leadership
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
Special Education endorsement.

Nice To Haves

Must have an endorsement in Special Education: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Pre-K-12)
Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
