About The Position

This position is a 1.0 FTE located within the Office of Special Education. The role requires knowledge of special education policies and procedures, the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, familiarity with Synergy SIS and SE, knowledge of positive behavioral supports, and understanding of Section 504.

Requirements

• At least three years experience in special education or related fields.
• Experience and ability in reviewing and evaluating assessment data prepared for the special education process.
• Experience working with students with special needs.
• Experience working in schools as a teacher.
• Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
• Eligibility for a Postgraduate Certificate, with endorsement in one or more disability areas covered under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act or in related field.
• Successful evaluations for last three years.
• Familiarity with models of inclusion.

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
