About The Position

Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins and Mott LLP (PBFCM) has an immediate opening for a Special District Report Writer in our Houston office. PBFCM has been in business since 1970. We represent more than 2000 governmental entities in Texas school districts, cities, counties, hospital districts, appraisal districts, and special districts. We have grown steadily every year. We currently have 15 offices across Texas with over 50 attorneys and more than 400 employees. Requirements

  • At least one (1) year experience in an office setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Access, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Punctuality and dependability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a collection law firm
  • Three (3) years of professional work experience
  • Certifications and/or College Degree
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Superior computer skills and knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access database
  • Proactive work ethic
  • Established Customer Service skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports for the Special District Board meetings.
  • Distribution of reports to recipients in a timely manner.
  • Calendar Special District Board meetings to maintain a report schedule based on the District(s) request.
  • Run tax roll(s) for all accounts in the District(s) to review and provide up to date information and status on the reports.
  • Create a District file for the attorney when their appearance is requested.
  • Generate a weekly schedule for the call center MUD department.
  • Communicate with clients, Board members, General Counsel, taxpayers, and staff in a timely manner via phone or email.
  • Manage emails and phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Additional clerical or administrative duties, as needed or assigned.
