About The Position

Pride PHC PCS is seeking a Special Attendant for Personal Care Services in the North East and North Central San Antonio, Texas areas. Special Attendants generally provide backup coverage for various clients throughout their assigned territory. The role supports clients whose lives have been affected by age or illness and requires compassionate, dedicated, and professional care. The pay rate is $13.00 per hour. The posting states that the position guarantees 40 hours a week and describes benefits for part-time employees as well as a full-time benefits and PTO plan.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be a high school graduate or enrolled in a vocational education program.
• Have the ability to read and write.
• Be bilingual.
• Have six continuous months of experience delivering attendant care or be an active CNA in the state of Texas.
• Be able to understand and carry out instructions.
• Have dependable transportation to and from clients’ homes.
• Have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance in accordance with state law.
• Be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting and bend, lift, and stand as needed to meet clients’ needs.
• Be willing and able to travel to different service locations based on daily needs.
• Be available to work weekends.
• Have general knowledge of basic office duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and clean up after meals.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Provide ambulatory care.
• Perform basic household chores, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Do laundry.
• Travel to clients’ homes within the service delivery area.
• Work at different service locations based on daily needs.
