About The Position

The Spec I Planner maintains material inventory and supply plans to support production. The role calculates demand, usage, and scrap; creates forecasts and weekly supplier releases; maintains accurate data in the integrated computer system; and coordinates cycle counts and freight. The planner also develops and audits Raw Material Planning Standard Work Instructions and follows EMS and QMS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain material inventory at minimum and maximum levels by calculating demand, usage, and scrap.
• Create and send forecasts and weekly releases to suppliers.
• Maintain accurate data in the integrated computer system to support material supply and demand.
• Conduct cycle counts for the AS and SS divisions.
• Assist in identifying potential problems or abnormal conditions and establish countermeasures and corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain, and audit required Raw Material Planning Standard Work Instructions that support TGASK, ISO, IATF16949, and MMOG requirements.
• Determine the most cost-effective inbound freight method and arrange expedited freight as needed to support production.
• Schedule inbound and outbound freight as necessary.
• Ensure EMS and QMS procedures are followed while performing job duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
