About The Position

The Speaker Test Technician is responsible for the quality control of gear, including physical inspection and repair of cabinets, rigging, dollies, and grilles. This role involves testing cabinets to manufacturers' specifications using an ERP system and speaker test equipment, troubleshooting speaker failures, and communicating with Engineering, IT, and repair staff regarding test procedures and failures. The technician must maintain an organized work area, pay close attention to detail, and always prioritize safety. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Quality control of gear with great attention to detail
• Physical inspection for repair of cabinets, rigging, dollies, grilles, etc.
• Test cabinets to manufacturers' specifications using ERP system and speaker test equipment
• Troubleshoot basic to complex speaker failures
• Communicate with Engineering and IT departments on current and future test procedures
• Communicate with repair staff on speaker failures, damage
• Maintain organized work area and attention to detail throughout all processes
• Always maintain safety
• Perform other duties as assigned
