About The Position

This position is accountable for cleaning, inspecting, assembly, high-level disinfection, and/or sterilization of all instrumentation, and/or medical devices, and flexible endoscopes for the hospital. Responsible for accurately entering data into an instrument tracking system. Follows departmental policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. May assume lead role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician - HSPA - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association OR CBSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution OR CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of instrumentation and medical devices.
• Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Minimum two (2) years Sterile processing experience.
