About The Position
The SPD Technician Floor Lead is accountable for the daily work flow and assignments of Tech I, Tech II, and Tech III staff, to ensure cleaning, inspecting, assembly, high-level disinfection, and/or sterilization of all instrumentation, medical devices, and flexible endoscopes for the hospital. Responsible for accurately entering data into an instrument tracking system. Follows departmental policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- CIS - Certified Instrument Specialist - HSPA - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
- CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician - HSPA - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association OR CBSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, medical devices, and endoscopes.
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience, which includes specialty instrumentation, devices, and equipment.
