About The Position

SPC Utility is primarily responsible for inspecting packaging, labeling, and monitoring packaging and changeover finishing equipment. This role involves operating a lift truck, ensuring accurate material counts on pallets, removing and replacing pallets, entering production data, and assisting with line startups, shutdowns, and general clean-up and maintenance. The position also requires monitoring the finishing line's box forming, packaging, and palletizing processes, setting up box-forming equipment, communicating defects, and assisting with changeovers. Additionally, the role may involve using a hoist/crane, inspecting and sorting off-quality materials, and fixing line jams.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or sit for long periods.
  • Must be able to work in tight spaces.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver objects of 50+ pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • LTO-certified experience preferred.
  • High school graduate or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect packaging and labeling.
  • Monitor packaging and changeover finishing equipment.
  • Operate a lift truck.

  • Assist in startup and shutdown procedures.
  • Back up other operators on the line.
  • Assist in general clean-up and maintenance.
  • Monitor the finishing line box forming, packaging, and palletizing process.
  • Set up box-forming equipment for various sizes of boxes.
  • Keep supply count.
  • Communicate defects and issues to appropriate manufacturing team members.
  • Assist with changeovers.
  • Use a hoist/crane when necessary.
  • Inspect and sort off-quality materials.
  • Fix jams on the line.
  • Assist with the changeover of parts on the line.
