About The Position

As a Spatial & Data Intelligence Officer, you will work with stakeholders to design and deliver business intelligence, spatial and reporting solutions that improve decision-making and customer outcomes. You will develop GIS products, Power BI dashboards, data models and system integrations, while identifying opportunities to improve business processes and the value of data governance. The role also contributes to emergency preparedness and response activities supporting biosecurity and food safety operations across NSW.

Requirements

Extensive GIS experience and a passion for using spatial data to support business outcomes.
Experience or an interest in developing skills in Power BI, SQL, data integration and automation.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into practical solutions.
Experience in Geographic Information Systems
Experience in PowerBI, including designing and building data models/schema, and creating interactive and static dashboards
Ability and willingness to work within emergency management responses, including weekends and outside normal business hours as required.
Current NSW Drivers Licence and the ability and willingness to travel

Nice To Haves

Experience with the Esri suite and scripting languages such as Python will be highly regarded.
