Teacher Tutors•Montclair, NJ
•$40 - $50

About The Position

Teacher Tutors is hiring part-time Spanish tutors to provide individualized, one-on-one support to high school students across Spanish I–IV, honors, and AP Spanish Language and Culture and AP Spanish Literature and Culture, including heritage speakers. Tutors work with students at different skill levels, from foundational language learning through advanced coursework, and tailor instruction to each student's course, teacher expectations, and goals. Sessions may take place in students' homes, at a library, at the Teacher Tutors office in Livingston, New Jersey, or online. Most clients prefer in-person tutoring. Tutors indicate their preferred travel radius, and the company matches them with families within that range. The coverage area is northern New Jersey, with most in-home sessions in Essex, Morris, Union, and Bergen counties. The position pays $40–$50 per hour, depending on degree and experience. Most tutors are W-2 employees; 1099 contractor status is also available for tutors with their own professional liability insurance who operate through a registered LLC.
