About The Position

Trinity Valley School seeks a Spanish teacher for its Upper School (grades 9-12) to join the World Languages department. The role involves teaching Spanish I and Spanish III, designing culturally immersive lessons, and serving as an advisor to a group of 10-12 students. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, participate in faculty meetings and professional development, and contribute to campus life. This position is integral to the school's mission of developing students with fine scholarship, wide constructive interests, intelligent citizenship, and spiritual and moral development, connecting language learning to global initiatives, outdoor experiences, and equity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Formal training in Spanish (ideally a master's degree or equivalent credentials).
  • Meaningful teaching experience, preferably in an independent school setting.
  • Experience working with students who are developing their language skills from the ground up.
  • Comfort with using technology thoughtfully to enhance and deepen learning.
  • Ability to balance high expectations with genuine care for students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Spanish I and Spanish III.
