About The Position

We are expanding our pool of Bilingual Spanish Speaking Education Champions for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will provide in-person academic and language support in high school Math classrooms. Working alongside teachers, you will help Spanish-speaking and ELL students understand complex mathematical concepts, build academic confidence, and succeed in both English and Spanish.

Requirements

• Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
• Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school.
• Ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success.
• Spanish speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person academic and language support in high school Math classrooms.
• Help Spanish-speaking and ELL students understand complex mathematical concepts.
• Build academic confidence in students.
• Assist students in succeeding in both English and Spanish.
• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies.
