Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or home care.
Clear understanding of the care plan and its associated tasks.
Ability to ask pertinent questions during training.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with durable medical equipment (walker, wheelchair, hospital bed, lifts – e.g., Hoyer Lift).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation available daily.
Compassionate, empathetic attitude with a high sense of responsibility.
Ability to fulfill all essential job functions with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

Assist elderly or recovering clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Provide personal care: support with bathing/showering, dressing, and grooming.
Support with household tasks: light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and running errands.
Remind clients to take medications as directed.
Assist with mobility within the home and during outings (medical appointments, walks, shopping, etc.).
Perform personal shopping for the client and maintain an organized environment.
Document and report daily tasks accurately.
Act responsibly and promptly in emergencies.
Comply with the care plan established by the Nursing Supervisor.
Immediately report any unusual changes in the client's behavior or condition.
Provide companionship and encourage client socialization to improve their quality of life.
