About The Position

The role of a Spanish linguist is crucial in the intelligence community for turning vast amounts of data into actionable intelligence. This position involves seeking out accurate data sources, sifting through raw data, and transforming it into valuable intelligence to support national security. The Spanish linguist will explore new data sources, create effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources to help clients understand their operational landscape. Responsibilities include validating information, applying client tradecraft, and building assessments for warfighters and senior policy makers. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, developing expertise in advanced language-based analysis, and sharing language, cultural, and regional knowledge with other analysts. The team focuses on collaborative growth to deliver optimal support to customers, with resources available for mentoring and learning new skills and tools.

Requirements

  • Experience performing written Spanish-to-English translation
  • Knowledge of using Adobe and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to produce client-ready, time-sensitive products and reports per client requirements
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that may on occasion require working nonstandard hours
  • Ability to show a score of 3/3 on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) and DLPT exam in the Spanish and English languages in listening, reading, speaking, and writing
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Experience with DoD counterintelligence (CI) and collection initiatives or programs
  • Experience in a CI or human intelligence (HUMINT) role
  • Experience with cyber threat analysis or computer network operations
  • Experience with U.S. counter threat operations and analysis
