About The Position

1st Choice Healthcare is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable individual who is fluent in Spanish and English and enjoys helping patients receive quality healthcare. The Spanish Interpreter will assist Spanish-speaking patients and clinic staff by providing clear and accurate interpretation during patient visits, appointments, and other clinic interactions. This position will also be cross-trained as a Patient Service Specialist, providing an opportunity to learn and perform front-office responsibilities. 1st Choice Healthcare is a non-profit, Joint Commission accredited, Federally Qualified Health Center. • Fluency in Spanish and English.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must pass a pre employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide Spanish/English interpretation for patients and healthcare staff.
• Accompany providers into exam rooms when interpretation is needed.
• Help ensure Spanish-speaking patients understand medical instructions, appointments, and follow-up information.
• Assist patients with completing forms and navigating the registration process.
• Accurately document and enter information into the electronic health record.
• Cross-train in Patient Service Specialist duties to provide additional support to the clinic.
