Spanish Interpreter - Nashville, TN
About The Position
LTC, an interpreting agency, is seeking contracted Spanish language interpreters in Tennessee. This role involves accepting appointments on an as-needed basis to provide on-site, in-person interpretation services. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison using the client's preferred language, ensuring accurate interpretation appropriate to the setting and audience. Compliance with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA, is essential. As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will function as a vendor on an IRS Form 1099 basis, not as an employee of LTC. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Nashville, TN.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience
- Minimum of 3 years of interpreting experience
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Experience working as an interpreter
- Experience in a variety of medical settings, social work, education and workplace settings, among others.
- Live within commuting distance of Nashville, TN.
