About The Position

The Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) is seeking a Spanish Interpreter to provide interpretation services to clients receiving psychotherapy, social work, and medical services in St. Paul, MN. Services can be provided in-person or electronically. CVT works towards a future where torture ceases to exist and its victims have hope for a new life, offering rehabilitation services, training partners globally, and advocating for human rights.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpreting skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Registered on the MN Department of Health Spoken Language Healthcare Interpreter Roster.
  • Familiarity with terminology and concepts in health care and social services.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated compliance with the role and ethics of interpreting, including confidentiality and boundaries, as they relate to mental health settings.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during the week day.
  • Must have access to technology and confidential space to provide interpretation remotely.
  • Reside in Minnesota and be eligible to work in the US.
  • Submit resume, cover letter and salary expectations.
