About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Spacecraft Integration Engineer III to support the full lifecycle of spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing. This role involves hands-on work in a cleanroom environment, developing assembly procedures, coordinating hardware deliveries, and supporting environmental test campaigns and launch operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spacecraft manufacturing, integration, and process optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience (internships, co-ops, or high-level academic projects count).
  • Experience with CAD software (NX preferred) and basic manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Odoo, or similar)
  • Experience with hardware build, integration, and test activities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
  • Proven experience with complex troubleshooting.
  • Critical thinking and strong decision making ability.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or aerospace quality standards (AS9100).
  • Experience supporting environmental testing.
  • Familiarity with GEVS or similar aerospace testing standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience writing test plans, procedures and identifying pass/fail criteria on systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and drive completion of detailed assembly work instructions based on CAD designs to ensure precise spacecraft integration.
  • Perform hands-on spacecraft integration in a cleanroom environment, supporting the full lifecycle of vehicle build.
  • Project and communicate risks to integration deadlines.
  • Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and product quality.
  • Drive the completion and management of spacecraft manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and ensure timely delivery of lower-level hardware to the cleanroom.
  • Provide mentorship to other engineers on the team.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute off-site environmental testing and launch campaigns, ensuring spacecraft readiness.
