About The Position

KBR is seeking a Space Weapons, Tactics, and Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Team Lead to provide on-site support to Headquarters Combat Forces Command (HQ CFC) located on Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. A strong Space Weapons, Tactics, and Training SME candidate has operational weapons and tactics shop experience in space mission areas. In this position, you will:

Requirements

  • An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • 3 years of experience directly relating to the job responsibilities.
  • Firm understanding of space capabilities.
  • Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, CFC, STARCOM or equivalent.
  • Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Accustomed to professionally working with military senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with US Space Force weapon systems and missions.
  • Experience with Joint- or Service-level weapons and tactics development.
  • BA/BS degree (5+ years of relevant experience may substitute).
  • Task Management Tool proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and execute USSF Tactics Review Board.
  • Document, review and track Tactics Improvement Proposals (TIPs).
  • Support Mission Focused Working Groups (MFWGs).
  • Coordinate USSF generated Air Force Tactics, Techniques and Procedures 3-1 and USSF Tactical Doctrine documentation.
  • Organize, schedule, and attend Weapons and Tactics meetings with Space Delta Weapons Officers and Instructors.
  • Organize, schedule, and attend the Tactics Analysis Team (TAT) event with SpOC Intelligence Directorate.
  • Facilitate the analysis, identification, and prioritization of purposed Space Deltas Threat Priority Lists (TPLs).
  • Liaise with Mission Area Teams and provide Subject Matter Expertise on current and future USSF capabilities.
  • Analyze current and future capabilities to identify and resolve tactical deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with SpOC divisions and Space Deltas to generate annual training objectives.
  • Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events.
