About The Position

TriVector Services, Inc. is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to support the Golden Dome initiative’s Space Based Interceptor (SBI) development program. Golden Dome is a national-level initiative to advance next-generation homeland defense capabilities. The selected candidate will support the Space Force Program Management Office as the Technical Lead in the design, integration, and testing of the SBI’s space and on-orbit systems, drawing on experience in space, host vehicle, and/or interceptor systems. The role includes technical leadership for complex weapon-system design efforts and regular formal interaction with senior government and military officers. The position may be contingent upon award.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• At least a bachelor’s degree in an aerospace-related field.
• At least 15 years of systems engineering experience involving space, host vehicle, and/or interceptor design, development, and program management.
• Meet eligibility requirements for a Top Secret clearance with SCI.
• Strong problem-solving skills focused on large-scale system optimization.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI.
• Master’s degree in an aerospace-related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine system architecture to support SBI operations and Golden Dome’s broader space-based operations.
• Lead teams in developing technical solutions for vendor interceptor, host vehicle, or weapon-system design trades.
• Provide technical expertise during system operations, ensuring real-time monitoring, telemetry, and data flow meet mission-critical requirements.
• Optimize system performance to increase responsiveness and reliability.
• Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in ground systems and implement mitigation measures to improve operational resilience.
• Ensure robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance with DoD security standards.
