About The Position

The Space Management Division, part of the Planning and Project Delivery Department, is responsible for tracking all physical space on campus. They are seeking responsible, motivated undergraduate students to assist with tracking university space, specifically focusing on office seat counts and occupants across campus. This role involves surveying university spaces to calculate seat counts in all buildings on the Newark Campus. The collected data will be imported into FM Systems (Space Management Software) for future reporting. Additionally, the position will involve capturing room occupant information whenever possible.

Requirements

• Proficient in MS office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Basic understanding of Databases and how they function
• Ability to walk university space for extended periods of time.
• Ability to read basic floor plans.
• Must be an undergraduate student at the University of Delaware.

Responsibilities

• Survey university space to capture seat and occupant data.
• Enter seat/occupant data into FM Systems database.
• Update occupant data that is currently in FM Systems where changes have been made.
• Report any changes in floor plan to space manager that differ from the existing plans.
