About The Position

The Retail Space Planner II administers and optimizes Blackhawk Network’s Retail Category Management / Retail Space Planning platforms (Blue Yonder preferred) and leverages automation initiatives to make merchandising, assortment, and space decisions more efficient and data driven.

Requirements

Experience with category management/space planning tools (Blue Yonder preferred), planogram automation, rule-based generation, and space optimization techniques.
Must combine technical depth with strong communication, curiosity, and an ownership mindset.
Exposure to AI-enabled assortment planning, forecasting, or retail analytics tools.
Candidates who not only demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in emerging technologies but have also successfully implemented and utilized AI tools to enhance their work, improve processes, or deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain planograms (resets, transitions, projects), document rules and standards, and support category/merchandising teams with space and assortment scenarios.
Administer Blue Yonder (or similar) across dev/test/prod; manage users, security, performance, and integrations; ensure data integrity and uptime.
Serve as Tier 2/3 support for application, data, and performance issues; work with IT and vendors on incidents and root-cause analysis.
Develop scripts (PowerShell/Python/etc.) for automation, monitoring, and system health to continuously optimize deployed solutions.
Support releases and migrations, document processes, train users, and champion business process improvement decision making.
Identify, evaluate, and implement AI/automation for strategic assortment, automated planogram generation, and rule-based space allocation.
