About The Position

We are seeking a Space Planner with a passion for the industry. This role involves working in a collaborative team environment to develop insights, identify opportunities, and communicate recommendations to drive future industry growth both internally and with retail customers. We are looking for an individual who takes ownership of their work and continuously strives to achieve more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and organization.
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for organizing and visualizing presentations.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets to develop insights and identify opportunities.
  • Negotiation Experience/Comfortability with selling. Ability to translate findings into concise and effective selling stories.
  • Confident presentation skills to convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience with shelf management and planogram creation (e.g., JDA, Apollo).

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in category management or sales in the consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Familiarity with syndicated data and software (e.g., IRI, Nielsen).
  • Experience with dashboarding software such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, or Spotfire.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with retailers, acting as a trusted category advisor across all areas of the business.
  • Develop impactful category analyses and consumer insights using a variety of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources.
  • Synthesize learnings to create clear and compelling selling stories using PowerPoint.
  • Educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communication.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to engage external retailer buying teams in defined territories to identify growth opportunities.
  • Utilize space planning software to merchandise the department according to category and retailer strategy.
