About The Position

As a Space Operations Planner, you’ll bring your technical and operational expertise to work alongside thought leaders in the United States Space Force on projects for joint force space integration. Work with us to fill a vital role in theater-wide operational space planning and synchronization of operations, activities, and investments (OAIs) to support priorities and objectives in the Indo-Pacific region. You will lead and participate in space-related operational planning, and your attention to detail and experience will deliver analysis and execution support for OAIs, to include reporting and assessment activities. You will also coordinate with outside agencies to ensure synchronization and deconfliction efforts across the theater and develop planning documents, orders, briefing materials, and deployment documentation and be able to brief products up to the general officer and flag officer level. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Joint or Service level planning, including in an operations setting
  • 3+ years of experience with leading operational planning teams and developing operational products such CONOPS, OPORDs, FRAGORDs, and EXORDs
  • Knowledge of how to drive OAI planning efforts that align with force readiness, Global Force Management, and theater objectives
  • Ability to interface professionally with senior military and civilian leadership
  • Ability to develop and provide briefs
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience as a future plans, future operations, or current operations lead
  • Experience with space operations, including integrating space into operational planning efforts
  • Experience supporting real world Joint operations or in Joint operational environments
  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Process and the Space Planning Process
  • Knowledge of the latest AI-enabled operational planning tools, such as Palantir Maven Smart Systems (MSS) or other mission command platforms
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Master’s degree
  • Graduate of JPME II
  • Graduate of formal Joint planning education, such as a service-level Advanced Planning School or related Joint Staff credentialed operational planning programs
