Space Modeling & Simulation Integrator

Booz Allen Hamilton•Colorado Springs, CO
•$86,800 - $198,000•Onsite

About The Position

Space Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Integrator will drive advanced modeling architectures across critical National Security Space (NSS) missions and the broader Department of War (DoW) and U.S. Space Force (USSF) enterprise. Integrate, develop, and apply physics-based M&S architectures tailored to space systems in an operational scenario, and implement USSF design concepts into high-fidelity simulation frameworks across multiple classification enclaves to shape future resilient architectures. Construct and evaluate comprehensive analytic frameworks, including the definition, analysis, and refinement of Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) and Measures of Performance (MOPs) to evaluate complex system performance. Collaborate with other M&S Integrators to support preparation of memoranda, technical plans, and reports to develop the synthetic environment for wargames and exercises, ensuring the M&S environment provides the capabilities to meet mission requirements for the conduct of wargame and exercise events. Support wargame and exercise events across one or more key space operational disciplines, such as Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Space-Based Orbital Warfare, Missile Warning (MW), Satellite Communications (SATCOM), or Electronic Warfare (EW) operations. Bridge the gap between deep technical modeling, software simulation environments, and all-source operational intelligence. Assess representation in the virtual environment and provide recommendations for improvement and additional realism. Apply analytical techniques in the evaluation of models and simulations. Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, intelligence analysts, and operational warfighters to evaluate adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) across both offensive and defensive space mission areas. Resulting simulation architectures, quantitative evaluations, and technical insights will directly drive requirements for next-generation toolsets, inform mission assurance and wargaming strategies, and empower senior defense decision-makers to safeguard critical space assets in contested environments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience integrating, developing, or applying physics-based M&S frameworks for space systems
  • Experience synthesizing all-source intelligence reporting, threat assessments, and systems engineering judgments to generate validated M&S scenario baselines
  • Experience engaging organizations across NSS Enterprise to align modeling requirements and fill simulation data gaps
  • Experience defining, evaluating, and analyzing MOEs and MOPs within structured analytic frameworks to support mission capability assessments
  • Knowledge of Space-Based Orbital Warfare, SDA, MW, SATCOM or EW operations to support wargaming or exercise events
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industry-standard M&S toolsets such as Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling, and Systems Tool Kit
  • Experience building an adversary Order of Battle assessment
  • Knowledge of TTPs employed during offensive and defensive space operations and their representation in constructive or virtual simulation environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative technical discipline
