About The Position

As a Deputy Program Manager - Engineering (DPME) for the Space Force MUOS program, you'll integrate with a highly skilled cross-functional team responsible for the production, implementation, and testing of advanced aerospace composites and military shelter products. You'll ensure that our systems meet engineering requirements, manage coordination with operations, and spearhead providing design inputs for upcoming contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, authorize, and monitor engineering work, ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables
  • Interface with the various Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to provide necessary design engineering support for the production line, such as the organization of material review board analysis and inputs and coordination with various external customers
  • Conduct monthly engineering status reviews and provide materials for program reviews
  • Assist in staffing, managing resources, and providing performance feedback for the project team
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and communicate technical issue resolutions
  • Oversee performance, cost, scope, and schedule for all engineering efforts
  • Manage engineering-related risks, opportunities, and project change processes
  • Lead technical proposals and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and assist in ROM development
