About The Position

SMX is seeking three Space Exercise Planners to support US Space Forces Indo-Pacific (SFI). These Space Exercise Planners will provide high-level subject matter expertise to lead the integration of space domain effects into theater-level exercises. This position requires a DoD security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI which requires US citizenship.

Requirements

Must have DoD security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Ability to communicate and coordinate with allies and partner nations, including their respective commands.
Highly organized as all focus areas require tracking multiple processes, maintaining a large amount of data, and creating and maintaining multiple products for multiple countries simultaneously.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer focused.
Capacity to learn new systems rapidly and adapt quickly to change.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 products.
US citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with US Space Forces Indo-Pacific (SFI).
Intra-agency or joint command experience.
International engagement or exercise planning experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate all phases of the exercise planning cycle, including Concept Development, and Initial, Mid, and Final Planning Conferences.
Develop Master Scenario Event Lists (MSEL) that synchronize space power, with a specific focus on integrating Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Satellite Communications (SATCOM).
Coordinate with allies and partners (e.g., Japan, Australia, South Korea) to incorporate "Allied by Design" principles into multilateral exercises.
Author After-Action Reports (AAR) and facilitate "Hot Wash" debriefs to identify and document capability gaps in space-integrated Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I).
