About The Position

Aleut Federal is seeking a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Instructor/Curriculum Developer to support the 533d Training Squadron’s USSF Guardian Enlisted Training (GET) initiative at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. This role is crucial for refining the training of Space Force enlisted Guardians to better prepare them for dominating in the space-domain. The GET initiative aims to transform initial skills training to meet the Chief of Space Operations’ vision, focusing on enlisted Guardians as technical specialists, leaders, weapon system experts, and advisors in satellite operations, cyberspace operations, and intelligence operations. The position involves developing and instructing SDA curriculum, assessing and mentoring students, supporting integrated events, and participating in curriculum reviews and maintenance efforts.

Requirements

  • Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience.
  • Experience developing curriculum using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) standards.
  • Prior completion of AETC Basic Instructor Course (BIC) or other service equivalent, accepted by CCAF or ability to obtain a CCAF accredited BIC certification within 3 months after employment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required or Community College of the Air Force associates degree in Air & Space Operations Technology.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ISD-based curriculum/lesson development.
  • Minimum 3 years of space experience in the specific mission area of this position with a US Government agency.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a formal instructor or 5 years as a briefer/public speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and instruct SDA curriculum to include the fundamentals of detection, tracking, identification, and characterization of space objects and activities; SSN architecture and catalog management concepts.
  • Assess and mentor students.
  • Support integrated events, guest instruction, and multi-course instruction.
  • Support mission integration and Graduation Exercise (GRADEX) activities.
  • Participate in curriculum reviews, agile course development and maintenance efforts.
  • Maintain LMS records and student documentation.
  • Participate in faculty development and continuous improvement activities.
  • Coordinate activities with Contract PM and government supervisory personnel.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
