Requirements

  • Experience with military satellite communications as an operator, maintainer, or technologist
  • Knowledge of U.S. defense force acquisition and contracting processes, integration of new systems or capabilities into operational environments, oversight of innovative technology development efforts, or planning and execution of U.S. military test and evaluation processes
  • Knowledge of space systems, electromagnetics, military and commercial satellite communications, communications waveforms and terminals, and military communications doctrine and practice
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field such as Space Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a systems engineer or space systems operator for the Space Force, U.S. Space Command, or U.S. Air Force, including performing at the intersection of system acquisition and technical integration
  • Knowledge of technologies such as quantum computing, artificial intelligence, 5G or 6G wireless commercial communications, optical laser communications, radiation hardening, space-vehicle propulsion, positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT), semiconductor technology, satellite antenna, and radio frequency system technology
  • Ability to quickly assimilate large amounts of technical and programmatic information, plan future technology insertion bounded by cost, schedule, and technical performance goals, and communicate across stakeholder organizations internally and externally to the direct customer
  • Possession of excellent communications skills, including interpersonal communication, authoring and delivering presentations, and technical or formal writing
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in an Engineering or Management field
  • PMP, INCOSE ASEP or CSEP, DoD Program Management Level-Practitioner or Advanced, and DAU Engineering and Technical Management Level-Practitioner Certifications
