About The Position

The Esthetician is responsible for delivering consistent, professional spa services, adhering to spa protocols and industry best practices. This includes performing manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxing with precision and care. They will uphold the highest standards of sanitation and sterilization to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all guests. The Esthetician will create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, ensuring that each guest feels comfortable, pampered, and valued. Strong communication skills are essential, as the Esthetician will also be responsible for promoting and educating guests about the spa’s products and services.

Requirements

  • 2 years of guest service experience.
  • 1 year of experience providing manicures and pedicures.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and listening skills.
  • Friendly personality.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, significant use of memory.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • The desire for continuous learning.

Nice To Haves

  • An esthetics diploma is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxing services, following spa protocols and industry best practices.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
  • Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously, providing accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests.
  • Promote the spa's offerings such as treatments, services, retail products, programs, promotions, and discounts available.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
  • Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
  • Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  • Perform prep work, properly clean, and restock room as required.
  • Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
  • Support and promote the resort, being helpful to other areas when necessary.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Wages starting from $19.80 to $22.00 per hour, determined by skill set, education and experience.
