About The Position

This role involves learning, performing, and rotating between various positions such as packer, scaler, styler, and grader. The primary goal is to maintain line speeds for designated products at the required rate. The position requires working on a moving conveyor belt using both hands, performing multiple types of packing and weighing, and pulling bones from product. It also includes inspecting, grading, and removing product that does not meet standards. Teamwork and adherence to Simmons Operating systems principles are essential, including understanding the impact of individual actions on quality, security, and company policies. The role also requires performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Must be able to move, push or pull up to 55 pounds from table to scales at waist level.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, stand and work in a cold, wet, noisy, dusty environment for entire shift.
• Must be able to perform repetitive motion.
• May include rotating through cold and hot areas of the plant.
• Must wear standard waterproof gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, and slip-resistant footwear.

• Preference for poultry or food processing organization experience.

Responsibilities
