About The Position

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands Company, is seeking a Screen Print Operator to join their team. This role is responsible for assisting with the production of screen-printed material, including the production, coating, and cleaning of screens. The operator will also perform quality checks on finished products, assist with press operations by loading material and applying ink, and move materials throughout the facility using an RF scanner. The company emphasizes supporting coaches and administrators by saving them time, allowing them more time to impact young lives.

Requirements

Familiarity with screen printing machines and software.
Ability to spot errors and ensure precise stitching.
Capable of troubleshooting machine issues and making necessary adjustments.
Understanding of design principles to assist in the creation of appealing patterns.
Must be able to follow orders and proper machine operating.
Learn tasks quickly, be detailed, accuracy-driven, personable, team-oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.
Candidates are required to differentiate and coordinate colors.
HS Diploma or GED (required)
Ability to read English instructions.
Candidates are required to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the product during and after being processed.
Regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis.
Requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Reviews work order, observes specifications and any special notes, and prepares work area to start to print multi-color work.
Quality check decorated garments based on customer specifications.
Assist the press operator by loading material on press, applying ink to screens, changing squeegees, and pre-counting material before decoration based on the paperwork.
Operation of machinery is used to coat, reclaim, image, and develop screens used in the screen-printing process.
Move material into staging locations throughout the facility using a pallet jack and RF scanner.
Ensures that their area and equipment is kept clean, wiped down with press wash at least once per week.
Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.
