About The Position

Le Méridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center, located next to the Oak Brook Center shopping mall, is seeking a Sous Chef to join its management team and assist in the operations of the Culinary Department. Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the management company, emphasizes providing exceptional guest experiences and supporting its associates through various programs and benefits. Requirements

• 2 years of culinary experience with no less than 1 year as a Sous Chef at a high-quality operation.
• Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
• Experience in production of banquets and special events.
• Proven leadership to associates to achieve goals while maintaining a high expectation to standards in regard to quality and presentation.
• Great communication skills and expectations that inspire associates to achieve goals and advance their careers.
• Demonstrate ability to lead by example.
• Participative management style, led by example.
• Instill a guest service attitude in all associates.
