About The Position

Bobby V's Restaurant & Sports Bar is a thriving upscale restaurant & sports bar renowned for its exceptional entertainment and dining experiences. We pair warm hospitality in a comfortable environment with a dedication to providing our guests with a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. We are looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our team at Bobby V’s. We are looking for someone who can follow the lead of our Head Chef and can help to manage and oversee day-to-day kitchen operations. Someone who is self-motivated, can maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen, and is committed to ensuring quality and consistency in food presentation and taste.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work full-time and flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Extensive knowledge of food operations and industry trends.
  • 5+ years of culinary experience is required.
  • Ability to lead and manage the BOH operation when the head chef is not present.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Must maintain knowledge of allergens present in all dishes to ensure the safety of all customers.
  • Ability to lift ~50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Servesafe certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and consistency in food presentation and taste.
  • Act as head chef when the Head Chef is not present.
  • Manage the kitchen staff during their shift.
  • Ensure opening and closing the kitchen is done correctly each shift.
  • Uphold our standards and systems for themselves and all staff.
  • Teach and work with other kitchen staff to improve their skills.
  • Maintain health and safety standards.
