About The Position
Wintonbury Hill Golf Course, located in Bloomfield, CT, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time seasonal Sous Chef! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support kitchen operations and maintain high food quality and standards.
Requirements
- 2 years prior experience as a Sous Chef
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment/product
- Team oriented attitude with strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Executive Chef
- Preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Ensuring food safety, quality, presentation and consistency
- Assisting with prep work including chopping, portioning, and ingredient preparation
- Communicating effectively with kitchen team during service
- Maintaining cleanliness of workstation and kitchen equipment
- Assisting with receiving, storage, and inventory rotation as needed.
